Chitwan Aid Trust (CAT) UK LTD Activities

Year July 2021 – to date

Treatment Assistance (8 August, 2021) :  Mr Rajan Bhattacharya, a former student of Bhandara School, Chitwan had been ill for a long time.  A small amount of financial assistance was provided to help him in his treatment. 

Medical Expenses Assistance (6 October 2021): Pramila Adhikari, a staff nurse who was treating Covid patients contracted an eye infection.  Suddenly, she was completely blind with both eyes.  She was taken to a hospital in India after an advice given by her Doctor. Since, it would be very expensive to get treatment in India, CAT- UK supported some of her medical expenses.

Library Construction (16th November, 2021):  Financial support had been provided for the construction of the first disable accessible library building in Nepal, the work of which has already started.

Orphan Children Support (5th December, 2021):  We have provided financial support to Manav Sewa Ashram, a charitable organization working with the orphan children in Chitwan.  We had provided financial assistance to the organization in the past as well.

Blood Donation Program (10th April 2022):  The Chitwan Aid Trust (CAT) UK organized a blood donation program in support of NHS at Westfield, Shepherd’s Bush, London.  Although, many enthusiastically came to donate blood, only 16 were able to donate blood.  The Trust will continue to do such philanthropic work in the future.

Nepali New Year 2079 Celebration (24th April, 2022): Chitwan Aid Trust (CAT) UK organized a Nepali New Year Celebration program.  The program was celebrated an annual event on the occasion of New Year Bikram Sambat 2079 (BS) with the variety of Nepalese cuisine and cultural program.  Also, on the occasion, we honoured the people who donated blood on the 10th April, 2022.

Girls Education Support (31st May, 2022):  We have provided financial assistance for the textbooks and other necessities required for the girls studying in a Shree Ram Janaki Balika Ashram, Devghat Dham, Chitwan.  Only orphans girls study in the Balika Ashram.

Free Eye Camp (Saktikhor, Jan 19, 2023): CAT UK organanized a Free Eye Camp in coordination of Rhino Club of Narayangadh.

Financial Support (Manab Sewa Ashram, 1st May, 2023):  We have provided financial assistance for the Manab Sewa Ashram, Belchowk Chitwan.

Free Health Camp (6th  May, 2023): A Free Health Camp has been organized in coordination of Rhino Club of Chitwan in Shree High School at Bharatpur Metropolitan Ward No. 16, Dhaddaghari.  Doctor's from City Hospital and Dentist from Ashirbad Dental Clinic were among the health professionals on the Health Camp.

Financial help to Parbatipur High School (7th May, 2023):  Financial assistance to support a scholarhsip program of the School 'Akcyaya Kosh'.  Scholarship presented to a very needy students every year from the interet earned in the name of CAT UK.
