Financial Assistance to Balika Ashram (Kanya Gurukulum), Devghat Dham, Chitwan

On 31st May 2022 (17 Jestha 2079 BS), Mr Ritesh Raj Pandey, President of Chitwan Aid Trust-UK (CAT-UK) facilitated the handover of Rs. 200,000.00 (Two hundred thousand rupees), on behalf of CAT-UK to Shri Ram Janaki Balika Ashram (Kanya Gurukulum), run by Shri Lok Kalyan Sewa Pratishthan, in Bharatpur Metropolitan City Ward No. 1 Devghat Dham, Chitwan. 

Shri Ram Janaki Balika Ashram have been systematically protecting girls in Kanya Gurukul by delivering training on various subjects such as education and health, including spiritual education and music. There are currently 36 orphan girls from 21 districts who are benefiting from this contribution as they have been provided both shelter and training.

Speaking on the occasion, President Mr Pandey hopes that the money provided by CAT-UK will assist in the further education and health of the orphans. The Founding President Mr Kapil Shrestha, Former President Mr Himal Gurung and well-wishers of CAT UK were also present in the special program.

Chitwan Aid Trust-UK (CAT-UK) have been providing relief and financial assistance for people who are victims of natural disaster, trouble or catastrophes. They also support in the advancement of education to benefit the public by building schools and providing access of educational facilities such as libraries. Furthermore, they contribute in assisting the provision of healthcare projects to enable the relief of sickness and preservation of health.
